The way you go about managing your morning routine is going to make a drastic impact on your day itself, because we all wake up on the wrong side of the bed sometimes. If this is the case for you specifically, there are things you can do to make sure that you’re always going to have enough energy for the day. If there’s one struggle that many people deal with on a consistent basis, it’s the fact that they merely don’t have enough energy to handle their work days. I’ve made it my mission to try and help people out in that regard, because I was a lot like all of my readers at one point. I would wake up, maybe make myself a bagel and then head on out to work – but that just isn’t practical. You need a set routine, almost like you’re going to shoot a free-throw. If you’re a basketball fan, you already know that players have a very basic routine every single time they go up to shoot foul shots, and they do the exact same thing every single time through.
If you take my words to heart, you should be able to develop a routine that you can make use of for the majority of your life. Once you have everything down to the tee, it’s just a matter of going through the motions. Believe me, changing the way I went about handling my mornings has allowed me to really strap down and handle my work – there’s no more groggy days where I feel like I’m about to pass out at the desk.
Eat Your Vegetables – Seriously!
It’s a well-known fact that vegetables and fruits can provide you with a rather large energy boost, especially in the morning. The energy boost is nice, but the fact that you’ll probably be improving upon your health in this sense is another thing to look at. When you add fruits and veggies into the mix, you’ll notice that you begin to live a much healthier lifestyle in general. You might feel like you’ve got the energy to take the stairs in the morning, or even go that extra mile to stand during your entire 15 minute break. I prefer to eat celery and carrots among other things, but you could easily make use of any vegetable that you prefer.
Espresso is the Key
Espresso is a form of coffee that contains more caffeine than the regular amount would call for. This results in boosted energy levels, as the more caffeine you’ve got present in your body, the better. With more caffeine, you can feel alert and never worry about feeling to slow or sluggish around the workplace. It’s literally morning refreshment at its finest, all you need to do is make sure you’ve got a reliable espresso maker handy. If you haven’t got one at your home, you should seriously consider purchasing one.
Get Some Sleep!
Get as much sleep as you possibly can. Although this sounds pretty straight forward, getting the necessary amount of sleep that is recommended on a daily basis can be tough. We’re supposed to sleep around 7 to 8 hours every single night, which is hard for some – when you break down the math that’s over a quarter of our day. As much as I’d like to say “you don’t need sleep”, I would be lying. Sleep is the pinnacle of being energized in the morning, and if without the right amount, it’s going to be a lot tougher.
There you have it, three different tips that should set you up for success when it comes to dealing with mornings. We’ve all got things that don’t go our way sometimes, but the morning doesn’t have to be one of them. We have some sort of control over the way we handle things at that point, so the ball is in our court. I wouldn’t say I love waking up really early in order to go to work now, but I can definitely claim that whenever I need to – I’m completely energized and ready to go.
