The Santa Fe Trail Revisited
Audiotape Album Explore the old Santa Fe Trail wherever it can be reached today, between Missouri and the Land of Enchantment. Engaging commentary and mile-by-mile directions will lead the traveler on easily accessible roads to historic sites and trail crossings, to old and restored forts and museums. Passages read from nineteenth-century traders’ diaries transport today’s traveler to a bygone world. Each of the four tapes is one hour long. Tapes I and II lead the listener west from the site of old Franklin, Missouri, to Santa Fe via the Cimarron Cutoff. Tapes III and IV return the listener east to Missouri, by way of the Mountain Branch. |
